Panel controller with two CAN ports

Published 2012-04-16

At the Hanover Fair 2012, Lenze (hall 14, booth H20) will demonstrate its p500 panel controller. It combines control, display, drive functionality. Besides the Ethercat interface, it features two synchronized CANopen ports. The touch-screen is available in 7-inch, 10,4-inch, and 15-inch versions.

THE PANEL CONTROLLER IMPLEMENTS the Codesys PLC software (version 3.0) and runs Windows CE 6.0. The heart of the unit is a 1,6-GHz Atom processor. The IP65-rated device features a local 1-GiB memory plus a 2-GiB flash memory. The maintenance-free panel controller is suitable for use as control and visualization system with centralized motion control. It also can be employed as an HMI device in a distributed motion control system based on CAN/CANopen. The PLC Designer programming tool has been optimized for Lenze’s hardware. For example, the timing for the CM-CAN2 adapter board has been improved.

Lenze will also show its 8400 motec inverter. It is also available with CANopen connectivity. It is designed to be mounted directly on the motor or to the wall. The IP66-rated module is suitable for travelling and conveyor drives in the field of intralogistics, fans, and pump drives. The drive supports up to 7,5 kW.
