Mobile Industrial Robots (DK) has developed the MiR200 autonomous driving robot. It features CAN connectivity to add modules.
The MiR200 can be mounted with customized top modules such as bins, racks, lifts, conveyors, or even a collaborative robot arm – whatever the application demands. Top modules are changeable, so the robot can be redeployed for different tasks.
The robot maneuvers safely around people and obstacles, through doorways and in and out of elevators. With built-in sensors and cameras and appropriate software, the product can identify its surroundings and take the most efficient route to its destination. Without the need to alter your facility with expensive, inflexible wires or sensors, the robot offers a fast return on investment, stated the Danish manufacturer.
Embedded is the MiR board interfacing gyroscope, accelerometer, ultrasound sensors, light, and the on/off circuit. It offers also CAN connectivity. Also the battery management system uses a CAN network. Data such as charging cycles and recording of current and voltage data is communicated via this network.
