The TEM Group (Switzerland) developed the Mytem Smarthome solution comprising wired and wirelessly interconnected devices. All wired devices are networked via CAN.
The scalable solution is extensible from a starter set to a professional installation. Starter sets for indoor temperature, light, security, and timer functionality are available. The heart of the system is the Mytem Server. The server versions for radio link communication (Z-Wave radio protocol) or for installation in a control cabinet are available. The server controls the communication and data encryption between all connected devices. According to requirements, additional wired devices can be integrated into the solution via the CAN interface of the Mytem Server. Possible system building blocks include CAN-connectible I/O-modules, dimmer module, relay, and Dali module for light control. Wireless Z-Wave modules can be added by means of the Radio Base module, which is connected to the server via CAN. An operation with a secured privacy (without cloud connection) is possible at any time. While the absence of persons, all functions of the smart home solution switch into a safe energy-economy mode.
The system is operable via a smartphone app available for Android and Ios operating systems. System’s programming is possible using the Mytem Progtool software. The tool enables graphical programming, simulation and the live view of the system functions. The products from the Mytem Smarthome series can be ordered online from the manufacturer’s website.
TEM Group develops and produces electronics, hardware, as well as software for control systems used in heating, climatization, and building automation applications.
