Copilot for Porsche drivers

Zenec has introduced the Naviceiver Z-E7015. It is an electronic copilot that is able to navigate users, play their music, manage their phone calls, provide music and video, and look after their entertainment.

THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM is based on the Porsche 997 vehicle platform and designed to be consistent with the original Porsche look: from the design of the front control panel, through the white button illumination, to the feel of the buttons. The product is therefore tailor-made to integrate with the cockpit of the Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman models.

Additionally, a solution has been worked out for the internal vehicle data communication network. To integrate comfort functions such as the steering wheel remote control for highest convenience of device operation a CAN network is used. Linked to the E>GO unit via the CAN interface, comfort functions – like the steering wheel remote control – are supported. Added to that is the option of connecting a factory installed Bose sound system to the system. The system also features a fiber optic connection to the external amplifier of the OE sound system.

Entertainment in the Porsche

The Naviceiver’s entertainment section can be controlled from the touchscreen. The FM RDS radio with integrated DSP technology enables clear radio reception without interferences. Music and videos can be played from CD, DVD, USB, iPod, iPhone, or a Windows or Android smartphone. The integrated Gracenote „More Like This“ function allows style and genre based playlists to be created in the USB playback mode. Users can choose a track and a playlist of similar titles will appear. Phone calls can also be organized from the comfort of the cockpit thanks to the Parrot Bluetooth technology with its audio quality. Using built-in voice recognition, users can control call functions with their voice.

According to the company, the Z-E7015S has the very latest navigation software package on-board. Current map data of the whole of Europe, high-definition 3D views, text-to-speech functionality, TMC, integrated trip computer, auto-zoom, lane assist, smart mode, and more than 6,5 million points of interest. Users can update the map data at any time using the SD card so the system will remain a reliable travel guide.

Designed in the original Porsche look – from the design of the front control panel, through the white button illumination, to the touch and feel of the hard keys – the navigation system blends into the cockpit of different Porsche models.
