CAN in Automation announced the 16th international CAN Conference (iCC). It will be held in the historical Town Hall of Nuremberg on March 7 and 8, 2017 in conjunction with CiA’s 25th anniversary.
The conference venue is the historical Town Hall with the Ehrenhalle. The location near the Hauptmarkt lies right in the center of the old town and is surrounded by some other sights, such as Schöner Brunnen, Frauenkirche, Sebalduskirche, etc., all in walking distance. The program committee, chaired by Holger Zeltwanger (CAN in Automation), is calling for papers. The call for papers for the conference officially opened today. The conference language is English. The papers will be published in the conference proceedings. CAN in Automation (CiA) is seeking contributions from international experts that cover the latest developments in Controller Area Network including CAN FD, CANopen FD, as well as partial and pretended networking or safety and security topics. The iCC is unique in its target group and offers participants the possibility to exchange experience and to network with other CAN-experts from all over the world and from most diversified application areas.
Abstract submissions for technical papers in English language are due on September 16, 2016. The iCC program committee will evaluate the papers and decide on the program. Selected speakers will be informed by October 4, 2016. The conference is accompanied by a tabletop exhibition, where experts and exhibitors can meet in a relaxed environment. Tabletop exhibitions complete the technical content of the speeches at conferences with the shown products. They are the place for meeting international experts, discussing new projects, exchanging experiences. From the beginning the CAN community used the iCC tabletop exhibition as the opportunity for networking. Due to the historical location, the number of tables is limited. CiA is also looking for sponsors.
