The nonprofit CAN in Automation (CiA) association presents CANopen Lift products on its booth at the Interlift tradeshow. The fair closes on October 18.
With 577 exhibitors from 44 countries, the Interlift 2019 fair is the most important elevator supplier exhibition. Two years ago, more than 20 000 people visited the Interlift. “It would not be a surprise if this is also surpassed again,” said the organizers.
On the CiA stand, members present their CANopen Lift products. CiA staff is available to discuss technical questions about the CiA 417 CANopen application profile for lift control systems. The profile specification has been updated this year. Some additional functions and virtual devices have been introduced. The CiA stand is also a meeting point for CANopen Lift engineers to exchange knowledge and experiences about CANopen Lift. Additionally, it is a place to welcome new members. Today, Octe (France) became a CiA member.
The tradeshow is also a place to introduce new CANopen Lift products and show updates of CiA 417 compatible devices. Bucher Hydraulics presented, for example, its CANopen Lift hydraulic actuators. Elfin exhibits its V4 display controller equipped with a CANopen Lift interface. Siemens shows its Sidoor AT40 CAN ADV elevator door controller. The extended operating and maintenance data of this product are available by means of SDO and MPDO services.
The Interlift 2019 is becoming increasingly attractive for manufacturers of mobility products. This year, home-lifts, lifting platforms, and other products for accessibility are strongly represented again. Also for such applications, CANopen Lift is an option.
