Vector Informatik expands board of directors

Dr. Stefan Krauß joins the team of managing directors at Vector Informatik effective January 01, 2021.

The Stuttgart-based specialist for software and automotive technology, is expanding its executive board of directors. Dr. Stefan Krauß (51) is joining the board of managing directors as its third member. With this step, Vector is taking account of the challenges of the company’s ongoing growth.

Dr. Stefan Krauß started at Vector in 2002 in the area of software development. Here, the computer scientist – who holds a doctorate in the field of software engineering from the University of Stuttgart – worked on designing the test features of the Vector tools at that time. He headed the development of VT System, the modular HIL system, making it ready for the market. In 2013, Dr. Stefan Krauß succeeded Thomas Riegraf as head of the product line Networks and Distributed Systems, following Thomas Riegraf’s appointment to the board of managing directors. With this appointment, the Vector executive board consists of Dr. Thomas Beck, Thomas Riegraf, and Dr. Stefan Krauß.

“I am very pleased to be able to take on this position of responsibility here at Vector and to complement the two other current managing directors. It is an exciting challenge to expand our product portfolio for the support of software developers in the established markets as well as in new segments,” said Dr. Stefan Krauß.

Vector, founded in 1988, is the manufacturer of software tools and embedded components for the development of electronic systems and their networking within different systems from CAN to Automotive Ethernet. The company’s employees work on electronic solutions for the automotive, commercial vehicles, aerospace, transportation, and control technology industries. The manufacturer employs more than 3 000 people at its headquarters in Germany (Stuttgart) and in its subsidiaries in the USA, Japan, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Romania, South Korea, India, China, and Brazil.
