New version released

Just two month after the last release, a new version of the J1939 Digital Annex (DA) has been published. It can be purchased separately or as part of the J1939 standards collection.

The SAE organizes quarterly meetings, in which the participants develop the J1939 specifications. The J1939 Digital Annex is the most frequently updated specification. This document is intended to supplement the J1939 documents by offering the J1939 information in a form that can be sorted and search for easier use. It contains the SPNs (parameters) and PGNs (messages) definitions. For other SPNs and PGNs, which are published in a document other than SAE J1939-71, J1939DA lists only basic details along with a reference to the document that contains the complete technical details. The latest versions includes also PGNs needed for the CiA 602-2 specifications, which describes the mapping of J1939 PDUs to CAN FD messages. Other J1939 data previously published in the SAE J1939 top level document is now also in the digital annex.
