Interlift 2015

CANopen Lift added to LCD module

At the Interlift, KEB presents its LCD Operator which offers options for adapting to different control types with analog and digital activation. It now supports CANopen Lift.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT KARL E. BRINKMANN will be represented at the Interlift fair as an exhibitor. As a systems supplier for lift technology, KEB offers its entire product range from its own in-house production facilities, based in Germany. In addition to other series providers, who are served by KEB with manufacturer-specific hardware and software, the company also offers components for customized solutions and open systems. The KEB Lift Converters offer a basis with universal hardware and software for many equipment generations. They cannot only be used to operate conventional motors and analyze encoders, but also to process a range of available fieldbuses. While customer-specific operator software can be generated for series applications, the company’s LCD Operators offer options for adapting to different control types with analog and digital activation, as well as bus communication. These operators offer customer-focused menus with the customary lift standards, in up to eight different languages.

Another addition is the support for the universal CANopen Lift Protocol CiA 417, which has established itself as the standard for lift controls. This communication standard allows system integration, global system monitoring, and diagnostic. All modern lift components like lift and door controllers, encoders, floor indicators, weight measurement, remote control, displays, and more components are connected to the same common bus and share information.

Apart from the CANopen Lift interface, the KEB Combivert clear-type LCD Operator module offers the serial communication interface DIN 66019 and supports lift control features for analog and digital control. Motor output contactors are no longer required when using STO Input Clamps. This NMC function (No Motor Contactors) allows system integrators to eliminate these motor contactors. In addition, the switching noise from the contactors also becomes a thing of the past.

The Interlift fair in Augsburg, Germany takes place on October 13 to 16, 2015. KEB can be found in Hall 5, Stand 5145. The company will present not only its components drive controllers, filters for EMC compatibility, and return feed systems, but also integrated system solutions for lift technology. Also, the universal Combivert C6 Router and HMI solutions will be demonstrated.
