Motion controllers for micromotors

At the Hanover Fair, Faulhaber presents its latest motion controllers. They are geared to the company’s DC-micromotors and come with a CANopen interface.

Like Faulhaber’s existing products, the latest generation V3.0 is oriented towards DC-micromotors from the company’s own portfolio but not limited to them. New devices can be integrated into varied environments via interfaces such as CANopen, EIA-232, USB, or Ethercat. The electrical connection is made easier by a consistent plug concept and a selection of cable accessories. According to the company, the user software Motion Manager version 6 is presented at the fair with a different “look and feel”.

There are three device variants which cover different application areas: The Motion Controller MC 5005 and MC 5010 with housing and plug connectors are designed for use in switch cabinets or in devices. Motion control systems as servomotors with integrated motion controller are already pre-configured and make it possible to use them directly in the automation environment. A modular system makes it possible to integrate diverse brushless and brush-commutated DC servomotors into standardized housing.

The MC 5004 motion controller is designed for use in existing housing as an open plug-in card. An optionally available motherboard makes it possible to get started in multi-axis applications. All three versions use the same technology basis, offer the same interfaces options, the same operating philosophy, and the same functionality.

At the Hanover Fair from April 25 to 29, the company can be found in hall 15, booth H29.
