Nanotec offers planetary gears made of plastic. Their main application area is service robotics, where CAN is often employed for communication.
The plastic gears are especially suited for applications where the motor must be mobile – for example, in service robotics. In those applications, CAN ensures the communication. The gears can be used for Nanotec’s CL3-E CANopen controller as well as for the C5 and C5-E CANopen motor controllers. The gears are lighter and quieter than comparable gears made of metal. With a size of 42 mm and in combination with the BLDC motor DF45, they make a compact drive that weighs 300 g and has a nominal torque of 5 Nm.
The planetary precision gears are equipped with reinforced output bearings and withstand high radial and axial loads. They are suitable for motor sizes of between 42 mm and 86 mm. Particularly with small driverless transport systems, this gear type enables construction without separate drive wheel bearings.
The flange gears for motor sizes of between 56 and 86 mm offer a alternative to cycloidal or shaft gears and have an efficiency rating of 97 %. The output flange complies with EN ISO 9409, so swivel arms or rotary tables can be screwed on directly.
