SPS IPC Drives 2017
Halstrup-Walcher (Germany) exhibits at SPS IPC Drives 2017 its CANopen drives. These mechatronic system features control functions and an optional absolute measurement system.
The stepping motor with integrated controllers are shown in hall 4, booth 131. The supplier stated that the products provide the capability for higher speeds at low torques. They come with integrated absolute position sensors, which do not need a battery. This offers similar performance to servo drives with controllers and encoders – yet in a more compact design. The stepper motors are suitable for adjusting machine axles.
When developing and manufacturing electronic and software components, the supplier can draw on more than 20 years of experience in the area of positioning systems. The company will also be incorporating its trusted hollow shaft (optional) in the products. This can be mounted directly on the spindle without a coupling. In addition, the drives will be produced in two designs that allow for horizontal and vertical installation as well. The first devices will be available in early 2018.
