Advanced Motion Controls (AMC) offers the 100B080 power-level module for its CANopen motion controllers. It targets AGVs (automatic guided vehicle) and mobile robotics.
The power-level module for the Digiflex motion controllers comes with Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality. It provides 100-A peak and 60-A continuous current output. The supply voltage can range from 20 VDC to 80 VDC. The Digiflex motion controller series is designed to drive brushed and brushless servomotors. These digital drives operate in torque, velocity, or position mode. Additionally, they employ Space Vector Modulation (SVM), which results in higher bus voltage utilization and reduced heat dissipation compared to traditional PWM. The drive can be configured for a variety of external command signals. Commands can also be configured using the drive’s built-in Motion Engine, an internal motion controller used with distributed motion applications. In addition to motor control, these drives feature dedicated and programmable digital and analog inputs and outputs to enhance interfacing with external controllers and devices.
The product features a CANopen interface for networking and an EIA-232 interface for drive configuration and setup. Drive commissioning is accomplished using the company’s Driveware 7 software. It can be downloaded from the supplier’s website. All drive and motor parameters are stored in non-volatile memory.
