LED rear lamp for truck and trailer

Hella exhibited in Hanover its 24-V lamps, which come in an IP-6K9K enclosure. Electronics for flashing side marker lights is integrated.

The rear combination lamp features an LED light curtain as taillight with reflectors behind. Additionally, the product comprises a central reversing light, a two-row stoplight, and a two-row direction indicator with optional wiping. The direction indicators are monitored. The rear lamp integrates load simulation for direction indicators and stoplights.

Next version of these lamps will be available with CAN interfaces instead the nowadays discrete connection. Trailers are implementing increasingly embedded networks based on the ISO 11898 series. Other future options include dynamic LED direction indicators, de-icing of external lens, and a mechanical interface for sensor systems.
