Electronica 2018

Controlling a CANopen drive on your own

Dunkermotoren will again be represented at the Electronica 2018 in Munich. They will show it’s BG 95 dPro CANopen drive. The integrated CANopen interface of the drive is compatible with CiA 402 (cf. IEC 61800-7) and accepts quick start instructions.

From 13 to 16 November 2018, the motor manufacturer will be exhibiting in hall B3 at stand 502 with a stand area of 63 m2. For the first time at Electronica, Dunkermotoren will present itself together with its sister companies Haydon Kerk and Pittman, which also belong to the Ametek Group.

The motors of Dunkermotoren are used in many "smart factories" and perform drive tasks autonomously. Sensors integrated into the motors provide the basis for data analysis, energy, and condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. One of these motors is the BG 95 dPro CANopen with an output power of up to 2600 W. With the help of the completely revised Drive Assistant 5 software, the motor manufacturer from the Black Forest (Germany) offers the option of controlling the BG 95 dPro CANopen power package directly at the exhibition stand.

The interface of the Drive Assistant 5 enables control of the brushless DC motors of the BG series from Dunkermotoren. In addition to the exhibition appearance in Munich, the motor provider will also be represented at the SPS IPC Drives 2018 in Nuremberg in November.
