KWG (Germany) presented at Bauma 2019 its synchronous generators. They communicate optionally via CAN with the host controller and the service tool.
The German company is specialized in synchronous generators. They presented at the Bauma exhibition in Munich a service tool, which comes optionally with CAN connectivity. The generator communicates also via CAN with the company’s DVR host controller. The IP65-rated products support J1939 messages. The service tool can be used for generator and host controller diagnostics as well as for controlling inverters and the Gema systems. It also provides an optional SD card for long-term data capturing.
The synchronous generators are available in different versions. They are suitable for several single- and three-phase voltage levels. The brushless generators are maintenance-free up to 20 000 hours. The products are designed for usage in harsh environments including construction and mining machines. Belt slip, drive motor overload, and generator overload are things of the past with this controller, stated the supplier. The products are tested to -40 °C and they meet the latest certified for use in rail vehicles. On request of customers, commissioning can be carried out on site. The same applies to adjusting the parameters. Alternatively, training can be conducted at KWG or on the customer’s premises.
