The products by Aentron are certified for off‑shore and maritime usage. The batteries meet the demanding and sometimes harsh conditions on the water down to the last detail. This is also confirmed by the DNV‑GL. The maritime classification society have certified the batteries for areas of shipping, offshore installations, speedboats, and light boats. With the DNV‑GL certification, the German company is one of the few manufacturers worldwide to offer lithium-ion certified batteries for maritime applications.

The company supplies battery systems with 1‑kWh, 2‑kWh, and 10‑kW energy. They are available in 12‑V, 24‑V, and 48‑V versions. The products come in an IP66‑rated enclosure. They are protected against overcharge- and deep discharge. Additionally, the battery temperature is monitored. The products are also suitable for photovoltaic and other industrial as well as mobile machinery. This includes especially automated guided vehicles (AGV) in logistics applications.

The provided 250‑kbit/s CAN interface runs the CANopen application layer. It enables access to all process data and can be used to configure the battery system. The integrated battery management system (BMS) enables the monitoring of all functions and technical parameters via CAN. According to the supplier this guarantees additional safety against failure or damage.
