Integrable DC servo drive with CANopen

The i144 by Ingenia (Spain) is a 250-W DC servo drive that can be integrated directly into brushless DC motors. It contains a DC powered servo drive stage, a motion controller, communications, I/Os, and Hall-sensors in one unit.

THE UNIT CAN BE MOUNTED DIRECTLY on the rear of a rotary motor. It features an isolated CAN network with the CANopen protocols CiA 301 and CiA 402. In addition to the standard CiA profiles, the drive includes a proprietary mode of operation. A customized configurable position-time profiler has been developed to fulfill the application requirements. It accepts network control for multi-axis applications using a CAN interface with a CANopen protocol. General-purpose digital inputs and outputs are also available. The product incorporates digital Hall sensors accurately aligned in the PCB for both commutation and feedback control.
It eliminates the use of power and feedback cable wiring in normal servo systems to save time and installation space. The drive measures 126 mm x 51 mm x 20 mm and features the enhanced operating temperature of -30 ºC to 100 ºC.
