Schmersal Böhnke + Partner will present the bp408 controller module at the Interlift. It can be utilized by CANopen lift components and fulfills the requirements of upcoming standards.
AT THE INTERLIFT IN AUGSBURG, GERMANY, from October 13 to 16, Schmersal Böhnke + Partner will present the bp408 lift controller module. Its compact dimensions mean it can be fitted in doorframes. The traditional control cabinets for systems with or without a machine room can now also be covered by this generation of bp408 controllers. It can be utilized on a modular basis by CANopen lift components, additional inputs and outputs, and special gateways and access control systems.
The safety switch built into the controller module already fulfills the requirements of the EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 standards. These standards, which will replace the current standards as of September 2017, mean that lift components and controller systems need to be redesigned or adapted. “This means the bp408 lift controller is a future-oriented innovation, which is very flexible to use,” explains Uwe Wiemer, the works manager at Schmersal Böhnke + Partner in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. “The basic module already incorporates a range of functions. At the same time, bp408 can be used for all lift systems and can also be used on a modular basis.”
The standard and special functions include, for example, a safety circuit relay in accordance with EN 81-20, self-driver and collective control, priority and guest calls, and functions for freedom from barriers in accordance with EN 81-70, plus special functions for car lifts. Another key benefit is the group algorithm, which is adapted to customers’ systems and allows to control up to eight lifts.
The software program Winmos 300 allows the controller module to provide a range of additional functions – including remote diagnostics, demand-based maintenance, error acknowledgement, monitoring and statistics functions, plus an overview of floor plan maps, cyclical calls and emergency call management.
