THE SIDOOR SERIES IS AN AUTOMATIC DOOR management system characterized by its driving performance, which is automatically calculated on the door and continuously maintained (1-button commissioning). It is expandable and extendable by modular communication interfaces such as CAN, EIA-485, USB, and Profibus. The door is continuously checked and controlled in an application-specific manner. Application areas are railway, industry, and elevator applications.

Besides other products, Siemens exhibits the Sidoor ATE500E door controller at the Interlift fair hall 7 / booth 7193, which takes place from 13 to 16 October in Augsburg, Germany. The controller is available with a CAN or Relay module. Designed for the horizontal operation of sliding doors in the application area of elevators, the product supports door weight up to 600 kg and can open and close cabin and shaft doors at adjustable speeds, accelerations, and with adjustable forces. The CAN module enables the controller to be connected to a CAN network. A maximum of 32 nodes can be connected. The interface supports the CANopen protocol according to CiA 301 and CiA 417. At the fair, the company also demonstrates the possibilities of CANopen for remote maintenance.
