SPS IPC Drives 2016
At the SPS IPC Drives fair, Sigmatek shows some of its latest CAN products: the CP 311 and CP 312 of CPU modules, as well as the TT 1533 multi-touch panel.
The control system S-Dias got expanded with two processor units for demanding automation tasks. The CPU modules CP 311 and CP 312 come with dual-core processors based on Edge 2 technology (2 x 800 MHz). According to the company, both CPUs achieve high efficiency via the integrated zero-voltage proof RAM with a data volume of 256 MiB (DDR3 RAM) and the internal Micro SD card (512 MiB). In addition to the real-time clock, buffer battery and CAN, a USB host and USB OTG (On the Go) are also available. One Ethernet and two Varan interfaces (CP 311) or two Ethernet and one Varan interface (CP 312) are integrated on a width of 37,5 mm.
With the S-Dias dual-core CPUs, up to 64 I/O modules can be powered and controlled. One processor core handles real-time and cyclic tasks. On the other core run background and additional system tasks as well as the Linux-based operating system. The CPUs are suited for multi-CPU solutions in Industry 4.0 applications such as predictive maintenance. They are designed for process, visualization, and motion tasks. Communication runs via the real-time Ethernet system Varan with a bus speed of 100 Mbit/s. The individual I/O modules can be accessed within 1,12 µs. The voltage supply for the CPU and I/O modules is directly integrated into the modules. The CP 311 and CP 312 can be programmed with the engineering suite Lasal in accordance with 61131-3.
The multi-touch panel series has been expanded with a swing arm version. The TT 1533 is a HMI for operating and monitoring in the industrial environment. With the swing arm mount, operators can orient the IP54-protected panel so that they always have their application in view. In addition to flexibility with mounting, the TT 1533 comes with operability via the projected-capacitive touch technology (PCT). Multi-finger gestures such as zooming, swiping, and paging provide operating comfort and also avoid input errors through simultaneous pressing of two operating fields.
The multi-touch operating panel has a dual-core Edge 2 technology processor on board, which enables demanding visualization and operating concepts and also supports a control architecture with internal HMI intelligence. For system integration, the following interfaces are available: 1 x CAN, 2 x Ethernet, 2 x USB front, and 2 x USB rear. The HMI is equipped with a 15-inch TFT LCD color display with 1024 pixels x 768 pixels as well as LED backlight and is delivered with 512 MiB of internal program and data memory (DDR3 RAM) and 512-MiB Micro SD storage. With the Vesa 75 connection mechanism, the operating panel can be mounted on a swing arm system or stand and thereby integrated into the machine or system topology. The company will show these products at the SPS IPC Drives 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany in in hall 7, stand 270. The exhibition takes place from November 22 to 24.
