The K1 controller by Cannon Automata comes with an Arm Cortex-A9-based 32-bit CPU. It is suitable for universal PLC applications as well as for applications with demands on processing power and communication capability.
The controller has a range of interfaces such as CANopen, onboard I/Os and a mini-PCIexpress slot for function extensions. It implements the Codesys Version 3 PLC software and is programmable in IEC 61131-3 languages. Visualizations and user interfaces can be created with Codesys Web/Target Visu or Qt. The Ethernet interface in combination with the integrated OPC-UA server allows integration into so-called Smartfactory structures. I/Os and drives can be connected via CANopen. In addition to the stand-alone version for mounting in electric cabinets, the controller is also available as a system unit for L1/C1 automation panels. In this combination, the controller can be used as Touch-PLC or web panel. Video, touchscreen, USB, and power supply are routed over an up to 5-m single cable.
