SPS 2021
The Revpi Connect+ featuring Codesys from Kunbus (Germany) can be used as an industrial controller for a variety of different automation tasks and represents an alternative to programmable logic controllers (PLCs). CANopen is supported.
The company planned to exhibit the product at the SPS 2021 exhibition in Nuremberg (Germany) but like many other manufacturers, they have just cancelled their participation due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Germany.
The Revpi Connect+ base module can be expanded by a range of digital and analog I/O and gateway expansion modules. All expansion modules have been seamlessly integrated into Codesys and can be controlled and configured via the integrated development environment. The Codesys runtime inherently supports communication protocols such as CANopen, Profinet, Ethercat, or Ethernet/IP and thus enables the use of the Revpi as a PLC in such networks.
With the included Codesys Webvisu, user interfaces or visualization masks can be generated and displayed on PCs, tablets, or smartphones via all common browsers. This eliminates the need for separate HMI (human machine interface) software.
