Comp-Mall (Germany) introduced the Tank-720-Q67 fan-less embedded PC system. The system based on the Intel dual-core i7/i5/i3 processor (2,0 GHz to 3,4 GHz) provides an isolated CAN interface (2500V/min DC and 50 kV/ms ESD protection).
DATA EXCHANGE VIA CAN, ETHERNET, USB, Gigabit LAN, Wi-Fi, EIA-232 and EIA-422/EIA-485 ports is possible. The active CAN port is indicated via an LED. It is accessible via a three-pin terminal block by Phoenix (Germany). The on-board 2-GiB DDR3 memory may be extended up to 10 GiB. The up to eight optional audio/video capture channels allow use of full HD videos. Via the VGA and HDMI interfaces two displays may be accessed independently.
An internal 2,5-inch data storage medium is connectable via the SATA 6-GiB/s port. System extension is possible via three PCIe mini slots. The used Intel’s Virtualization Technology allows multiple, independent operating systems to run simultaneously on the device.
The PC is dedicated for applications in rough industrial environments or in measuring and building services engineering as well as for image data processing, monitoring systems and digital signage. PC’s housing is made of extruded aluminum alloy and heavy-duty steel sheet. Operation at temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C is possible. Dimensioning 310 mm x 200 mm x 67 mm the device weights 4,2 kg. A dual DC power input (9 V to 36 V) allows for redundant power supply of the system. Operating at 19 V the device consumes ca. 3,1 A.
The company provides complementary products for the embedded PC e.g. displays (4,3-inch to 42 inch) and keyboards. The Comp-Mall Tank-700 embedded PC series provides CAN connectivity as well.
