At the Embedded World, Syslogic (Germany) presented embedded computer and HMI systems for various industry branches. They placed the focus on embedded computer solutions for mobile use like in trains, driverless transport systems, or industrial machinery.
SYSLOGIC OFFERS PRODUCT SERIES for a range of industrial markets. Alongside HMI systems, they are expanding their embedded computer solutions for mobile use. The following of their presented products feature a CAN network.
Because of their interface configuration, the Compact SL and Compact ML embedded computers belong to the group of all-rounders among the company’s industrial computers. The dual-board Compact ML computers are fitted by default with two Ethernet, two isolated CAN, four USB and six serial interfaces. The industrial computers of the series are also expandable with PC/104 cards and radio modules.
The company relies on the Intel Atom E6x0T processor platform for the two products. In line with this, it has developed its own computer-on-module that sets new standards in terms of robustness and durability. A key feature of the computer-on-module comprises the vibration-resistant Core-Express plug connections. The computers have been tried out in several hundred devices in field operation and various successful stress tests. Among other things, vibration measurements in a frequency range of 10 Hz to 100 Hz and shock tests have been carried out.
The Compact MS and Compact XS are among the smallest embedded computers on the market, according to the company. With their fanless design, they are suitable for so-called 24/7 operations. They can be configured with interfaces such as Ethernet, RS232 and RS485. The embedded box PCs can be combined with fieldbuses such as CAN, Profibus and Profinet.
