Stock Flight Systems (Germany) upgraded the TIS (telemetry interface system) from its partner ICS (USA) by the CANaerospace and Arinc 825 interface. The system is a 19-inch rack mounted PC. It provides ASCB-D communication possibility (by Honeywell) for aircraft based data acquisition as well as ground based simulation and test platforms.
STOCK FLIGHT SYSTEMS ALSO developed an Ethernet-UPD/IP data format specification based on XML for both ASCB-D and CANaerospace/Arinc 825. This specification allows flight test engineers to specify the parameters to be transmitted via Ethernet for recording during test flights and provides access to all data. ASCB-D and CANaerospace/Arinc 825 data are time correlated within the system. As the interface to the CAN networks serves the PMC825 module with four independent CAN, Arinc 825, and CANaerospace ports.
The system runs under the Suse Linux 10.3 operating system with a 1000-Hz kernel. As software the ASCB-D Configuration File Converter with XML format specification is provided.
Stock Flight Systems offers system integration and engineering services in commercial and research projects using the CAN-based CANaerospace and Arinc 825 protocol for aerospace applications.
ICS (Innovative Control Systems) has been serving the aircraft industry since 1990. It provides experience in test and measurement, high-speed analog and digital design, data processing and analysis, real-time and embedded software development, high-speed communication network design and implementation, system integration and system production.
