Mobile Control Systems (Belgium) has launched a J1939-integrated module for its electronic throttle controls. The ECU (electronic control unit) features J1939 connectivity and is suitable for on- and off-highway vehicles.
THE ECUs ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR multiple throttle control applications. Messages and parameters such as DTC (DMx, FMI, MIL) can be added and/or adapted to customer specifications. The harness length can be adapted upon customer requirements. The throttle position is identified through a twin analog Hall-effect sensor, and is converted into CAN messages according to the SAE J1939 application layer. The Source Address or Name fields are set to the provider’s default values or are configured on the customer’s requirements. Optional information (e.g. Diagnostic Trouble Codes) can be activated upon request.
The Belgium company has equipped all its programmable throttle controls with J1939 interfaces. The products are used by several OEMs including Caterpillar, Deutz, Iveco, MTU, Perkins and others.
