Risc-based rugged DIN-rail embedded system

Axiomtek (Taiwan) has released the rBOX630, a fanless DIN-rail mountable box system based on Freescale’s i.MX6 series processors. It comes with two CAN interfaces.

THE SCALABLE rBOX630 COMES WITH A 1-GiB DDR3 onboard memory and a 4-GiB eMMC flash memory for storage. With its operating temperature of -40 °C to +70°C it is suitable for industrial automation as well as Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications. The multiple interfaces including CAN, LAN, serial ports, USB OTG, digital I/Os plus more options enable connecting other devices. Its 12 VDC to 48 VDC power input allows using the product in harsh environments. The Risc-based (Reduced instruction set computing) controller can be used as gateway in in-vehicle surveillance, retail, building automation, factory automation, energy meters, and other mobile IIoT deployments. It comes with RTC battery function and supports two Mini card slots and two SIM card slots for 3G/4G/WiFi.
