At the Agritechnica 2013, Sontheim (Germany) presented the Comhawk. It is a control device for communication and diagnostic tasks. In addition to the interfaces CAN and Ethernet, the module also offers a wireless Wifi interface.
THE DEVICE IS EQUIPPED WITH UP TO FOUR CAN CHANNELS, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and optional two digital inputs and one digital output. The control device is designed for use outside the cabin of a vehicle and is vibration tested. It comes with a temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C and in a housing with protection class IP69K.
The module has a 32-bit micro-controller, as well as a built-in Nano-flash memory of up to 16 GiB to store data. The device can be used in the automotive as well as the automation industry for communication and diagnostic tasks such as a communication interface, diagnostics, real-time monitoring, event logger or telemetry node.
The programmable and real-time capable ECU system can be programmed by the user specifically for each application. For example through a configurable data interface an individual configuration of the interfaces or the structure of an application can be solved. Furthermore, control loops can be mapped over an integrated script interpreter.
