Peak-System Technik introduces a variety of products at the Embedded World. The company is in the progress of enhancing its CAN product range with CAN FD ability.
THE CAN INTERFACES FOR THE USB PORT are already available with CAN FD support and will be complemented in the 6-channel version PCAN-USB X6 in 2015. The integration of CAN FD connectivity in custom hardware designs can be achieved with the Stamp module PCAN-Chip USB. A corresponding evaluation board simplifies the development. Communication with the CAN FD channel is done via the module's USB 2.0 interface. The physical CAN transmission is determined by the transceiver to be implemented by the developer. The stamp module has side lengths of 25 mm by 20 mm and is suitable for automatic insertion due to the single-sided component placement and the half-whole edge contacts. The separately available board PCAN-USB Chip Eval with example circuits provides an environment for testing purposes.
For the first time, the PCAN-Explorer 6 is presented at the Embedded World from February 24 to 26 in Nuremberg, Germany. This version of the professional Windows software for monitoring, analyzing, and simulating CAN networks is enhanced with CAN FD support and various other features. The Embedded World takes place from February 24 to 26 in Nuremberg, Germany.
