Sigmatek (Germany) has announced two products: the ETT 351 touch panel and the IPC 111 industrial PC. Both devices feature CAN networks.
THE ETT 351 TOUCH PANEL IS PREDESTINED FOR system and machine manufacturing as well as building automation. Several panels can be networked via the CAN network, which provides flexibility for large systems. With the 3,5-inch TFT color display, process data and parameters are entered. Data is exchanged via the CAN network. To save energy, the display is deactivated in idle mode. By touching the screen, the product is activated and returns to idle mode after the last entry. This makes it suitable as a room control unit in building automation, especially as a wall-mounted device in a flush-mounted box. The compact operating panel measures 93 mm x 93 mm x 11 mm.
The Intel Celeron M processor of the IPC 111 industrial PC provides high computing power with low consumption and minimal waste heat, according to the company. All connections and interfaces, such as CAN, Ethernet, Varan, USB 2.0 and KTY temperature measurement are located on the front side. With the bus interface located on the side, S-DIAS I/O modules can be directly connected to the IPC. Due to the toolless DIN rail mounting, the product can be mounted in the control cabinet or on the system. The 7-segment display and 3 status LEDs provide information on the actual status of the CPU directly on the PC. Two compact flash cards are used for the program memory. The product has dimensions of 218 mm x 110 mm x 74 mm.
