Isobus terminal

Apps expand functions

With the Isobus-standardized Basic-Terminal from Mueller Elektronik (Germany) users can use one terminal for all their Isobus machines. The terminal’s functions can be expanded via apps.

WITH THE ISOBUS-IT APP (UNIVERSAL TERMINAL) this device meets the Isobus 11783 standard and can be used on any machine which complies with this standard, regardless of manufacturer. The terminal has a 5,7-inch color screen. The upper section of the screen contains the header while the lower section displays information on machine operation. Information for a second application can be displayed in the header. This minimizes switching of the main screen and makes the user’s work easier. According to the company, the terminal provides unrestricted visibility in the cab.

The so-called App & Go concept enables functions to be added to the terminal. In addition to Isobus task processing (Isobus-TC app), parallel tracking (Track-Leader app), and automatic steering (Track-Leader Top), the terminal also offers the option of GPS-assisted section control (Section-Control app).
Accessories such as cameras, an S-BOX, a Lightbar, and a joystick are provided. All terminals are fitted with an integral tractor-ECU (TECU) as standard. Even in tractors without Isobus, this enables the machines to receive information such as forward speed, PTO speed, working position, and direction of travel. This information is essential because it is needed for precision farming applications.

The App & Go concept
This concept requires access to the company’s App-Store, which, starting December, will enable users to activate apps online as needed. With the input of the serial number and the activation code of the terminal a license key will be generated in the shop, with which the customer can activate an app. Almost each app can be tested for free for 50 hours. The customers themselves can decide if and what apps they want to use.
