AT THE AGRITECHNICA TRADE FAIR from November 10 to 14 in Hanover, Continental will exhibit its portfolio for the fields of efficiency, environment, and connected solutions. The range includes a programmable 12,1-inch display for more efficient working, which connects to the CAN network.

With the programmable terminal, farmers can monitor and closely control all functions of their vehicle, as well as the working machines in tow. The 12,1-inch touchscreen displays additional information such as geographical or camera data and allows operation of air conditioning and available media. The terminal therefore optimizes the working day, from maneuvering to precision farming. It can be adapted to the customer's individual needs, and can be connected to the Isobus system. Another instrument cluster from the same product family includes a 12,3-inch color TFT screen, and a 2-D graphical and video display. Both displays are part of the movement toward the networked vehicle, relieving the driver with the presented information.

The on-board telematics unit connects to the CAN network of the agricultural machine. It is the central interface through which data is transmitted from and to the vehicle, enabling a range of data-based applications, even as the harvest is collected. The unit also helps with agricultural machinery leasing, by storing data about the duration and place of use for billing purposes.
