At the Agritechnica fair in Hanover, Germany, Mueller Elektronik presents besides other products, the Smart430 Isobus terminal as well as its Isobus weather station.
THE SMART430 IS THE LATEST ISOBUS terminal manufactured by the German company. It complies with the ISO standard 11783 and is AEF-certified. The terminal offers UT and auxiliary functionalities and comes with a list price of 570 €. In addition to the control of Isobus implements, it is also suitable for displaying Isobus applications such as weather stations, weighing systems etc. The terminal offers environmental protection class IP69K and is therefore suitable for use on implements or outside the tractor cab.
It is equipped with a 4,3-inch color display and provides a resolution of 480 pixels x 272 pixels. Operation takes place using four softkeys on the left and right respectively as well as with the menu buttons above and below the display. On the back of the device, there are two M12 plugs for connecting the CAN network, the serial interface, and sensor inputs for recording the working speed and the working position. A 32-bit processor with 180 MHz is at the heart of the device. The internal storage consists of a 16 MiB flash memory. The Smart430 is designed for an extended temperature range and can therefore be operated between -20 °C to +65 °C.
At the Agritechnica 2015, which ends on 14 November, Mueller Elektronik also presents its Isobus weather station which is suitable for documentation. According to the company, it is the first Isobus weather station on the market. It is AEF certified and corresponds to the Isobus norm 11783. The product supports Isobus UT functionality and is therefore suited for the documentation of weather conditions. Besides the job-oriented plot and machine files also the wind speed and direction, air pressure and temperature, as well as the air humidity are documented. Especially for the plant protection application the parameter Delta-T is of great interest as it indicates the current evaporation rate. With the help of this value the ideal droplet size and application rate of the pesticides can be determined and so the best possible efficiency can be achieved.
