HMI and box PC

With galvanic isolated CAN ports

With its product range, Comp-Mall (Germany) offers CAN systems as HMI controllers and as box controllers. The systems use HMI panel PC systems and embedded box PC units.

THE CAN SYSTEMS ARE BASED ON the Intel Atom, Intel Celeron, or Samsung S3C2416 CPU, two isolated CAN interfaces and more. The two CAN interfaces support the base frame format with an 11-bit CAN identifier, and the extended frame format with a 29-bit CAN-IDs. Both channels are isolated for better protection against electrical surges. The company offers seven different HMI controller for CAN networks with displays ranging from 4,3 inch to 19 inch and LED backlight.

The models with 8,4-inch to 19-inch touch screens are equipped with the Intel Atom E3845, 1,91 GHz CPU and with the 4,3-inch model, the Samsung S3C2416, 400-MHz CPU is integrated. With the exception of the model with 4,3-inch screen, a 2,5 SATA HDD / SSD can be integrated in addition to CFast and SIM card.

The CAN box controller series includes six models with Intel’s 2,2-GHz Celeron or 1,8-/1,9-GHz Atom processors. They are fanless, come in a metal housing and possible extensions vary by Mini PCIe, PCIe, and PCI cards. The temperature range serves from -25 °C to +70 °C, depending on the model. As storage media a 2,5 inch SATA HDD / SSD, mSATA or CF card can be used. Depending on the model, are in addition to the two isolated CAN interfaces, GbE, WLAN, VGA, HDMI, DP, USB 2.0 and 3.0, COM, digital I/O, and audio interfaces available. The metal housing provides protection against oxidation, corrosion, shock, and dust. Mounting is possible to the wall, in the rack, and partly also to DIN rail. On customer requests the company offers modifications for these CAN products.
