Griessbach (Germany) has developed variable keypad modules with CAN interfaces. They enable network communication in vehicles and mobile machinery.
THE KEYPADS ARE AVAILABLE in various sizes with 4 to 12 input fields and come with CAN interfaces. Users who only require a few such keypads will find them to be helpful in minimizing their own in-house development efforts. The control units are equipped with short-travel switches. Customer-specific foil designs for input fields are part of the regular offering. Backlit pictograms and two status LEDs ensure operation. On request, the company also equips the modules with actuation protection or special haptic finger guides.
Additional interfaces for the connection of peripheral devices, such as brightness sensors or external switches, are optionally available. The enclosure design features a housing with IP65 dust and moisture ingress protection for the front panel. Available in various dimensions depending on the number of keys, the devices feature spring clamps attached to the housing for vibration-resistant snap-on installation for different mounting hole dimensions.
