Janz Tec (Germany) introduced the Raspberry Pi 3 Panel PC emVIEW-7/RPI3. The product comes in a metal housing and provides a CAN interface.
The company has developed a 7-inch panel based on the Raspberry Pi 3 module. The device is based on the emPC-A/RPI embedded PC. According to the supplier, it offers adequate graphics performance and is suited to small visualizations and control points. The PCAP touchscreen with a glass surface has a resolution of 800 pixels x 480 pixels. The product provides a power supply of 9 VDC to 32 VDC, an internal microSDcard with 8 GiB as well as an operating temperature of 0 °C to +45 °C.
All interfaces of the Raspberry system are fed out of the back of the device. It features an additional CAN and EIA-232/EIA-485 interface as well as digital I/Os and a real-time clock. It can be mounted on a top-hat rail as well as using Vesa mounting holes. A minimal Raspbian Linux is pre-installed, which supports all interfaces of the emPC-A/RPI. A Codesys runtime environment is available on request. Optional a CANopen protocol stack and tools are offered with the product. The product will be shown at the Embedded World 2017 in Nuremberg, Germany at stand 411 in hall 2. The exhibition takes place from March 14 to 16.
