Embedded World 2020

CAN logic controller and HMI

The Lococube STG-8xx PLC series from Barth Elektronik (Germany) are integrated programmable logic controllers (PLC) providing graphical programming capability. The STG-800 is shown at the Embedded World 2020.

The company offers a range of Lococube products. The PLCs (programmable logic controller)s, already mentioned above, open up application fields with space restrictions and high integration level requirements, said the company. The CAN touch display DMA-15, marginally bigger than the STG-800 can be directly integrated as human machine interface (HMI) in a CAN network.

The PLC or CAN display do not need any peripheral components to operate. Both inputs and outputs feature integrated and rugged protection circuits to operate the devices in harsh environments. Due to their low current consumption and operation voltage from 7 VDC to 32 VDC the PLC ́s and displays are well suitable for 12-V and 24-V battery-powered systems.

All devices feature a 32-bit ARM Cortex open source concept and support both, CAN 11-bit identifier base frame format and 29-bit identifier extended frame format, CANopen, NMEA 2000, as well as J1939 protocols in combination with ‚C‘ programming capability. These features open up a variety of application fields in industrial, automotive, and maritime technology.

The company also offers it ́s CAN PLC ́s and displays as customer-tailored Original equipment manufacturer versions within eight weeks. The company is not part of the Embedded World 2020, but visitors can see the STG-800 at CAN in Automation’s CANopen product panel in hall 1, stand 630.
