ISO 11783-6 compatible

Isobus-capable operating terminal for agricultural vehicles

Claas (Germany) launched the Cemis 700 operating terminal. The company plans to replace its Operator and Communicator II terminals with the introduced device starting in summer 2020.

The terminal supports the Aux-O (auxiliary) and Aux-N functions. It also supports the UT1 and UT2 functions, which respectively correspond to VT2 (virtual terminal) and VT3 functions according to the ISO 11783-6 standard. The device’s compatibility to the ISO 11783 is certified by the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF).

In addition to the ergonomic design with black, easy-to-clean surfaces, the terminal offers configuration with ten backlit hard-keys as well as a rotary push button. The color display with touch function features a 7-inch screen. The automatic day-night switching is included as well. The camera input supports the display of real-time images from up to two cameras, which can be changed at the touch of a button or automatically. This gives the operator a view of the essential functions of the implement (add-on device) and the area behind the machine. Via the settings menu the operator can select the displayed language and individually adjust the screen brightness, as well as the volume of the integrated speaker for information and warning tones. The protection class IP65 is fulfilled.

The Cemis 700 will be initially available as an option from October 2020 for Disco Butterfly mower combinations, the Rollant 540 round baler, Quadrant square balers, and Cargos loader wagons. The device is currently not available in the UK.

For several years it is possible to rent tractors from Claas (First Claas Rental) by farmers and agriculturists for a short period of time. In a joint-project it is now also possible to rent the tractors with the Isobus-connectible implements from the Amazonen-Werke H. Dreyer.
