Box-PC for fleet management

Advantech (Taiwan) has launched the Trek-668 control unit, which integrates fleet management and in-vehicle surveillance functions. The provided J1939 interface allows vehicle real-time diagnostics and driver behavior observation.

THE BOX-PC IS SUITABLE FOR VEHICLE FLEET MANAGEMENT, public transportations systems, and emergency service vehicles. Multiple I/O interfaces provide interconnectivity with a combination of up to 12 analog camera channels, one IP-camera channel, and multiple displays. There is also the 7-inch vehicle display system available for mobile resource management applications. This Trek-303DH display can be integrated with the Trek-668 mobile data terminal.
The control unit is equipped with Intel’s N2600 processor clocked with 1,6 GHz. It comes with a 2-GiB DDR3 memory and interfaces for external memory extensions (e.g. SATA and SSD). The product supports GPS tracking and positioning, as well as dead-reckoning, which allows a truck to be traced even if it is in a tunnel. All common in-vehicle computer interfaces are available including CAN communication supporting the J1939 protocol. This gives access to all data exchanged in the in-vehicle networks.
