Nexcom (USA) has launched the VTC 7110 series of J1939-connectable terminals. They are intended for use in commercial vehicles equipped with 1,5-GHz processor from Intel (i7 2610UE).
THE TERMINAL SERIES COMPOSES THE VTC 7110-B, VTC 7110-D1, and VTC 7110-C4 devices featuring an optional CAN interface compliant to the J1939 application profile. The products provide two SIM-card holders as well as two mini-PCI slots. This series also allows users to install either 3.5G and Wi-Fi modules or two 3.5G modules. The terminals are equipped with Ethernet interfaces, some support power-over-bus-lines reducing the number of cables. These interfaces could be used to connect cameras.
The VTC 7110-D1 has additionally eight input and eight output channels (galvanic isolated) as well as isolated EIA-232 and EIA-422/485 interfaces. Perfect for fleet management, this device eliminates problems caused by inrush current/voltage, establish reliable vehicular communication network and facilitate monitoring of vehicle subsystem. The VTC 7110-C4 targeted at mobile surveillance provide two swappable SSDs (solid state disks). All terminals come in a rugged, fan-less enclosure designed to meet the Mil-810F anti-vibrations and shock specification.
