Embedded World 2016
Since the CAN FD protocol is now the international ISO 11898-1 standard, Janz Tec now offers CAN products for the data link layer.
In addition to passive CAN adapter cards and embedded PC systems with integrated CAN interface, there are now two added CAN FD-ready active cards: CAN-PCIH/FD and CAN-PMC/FD. ARM-based processors with a direct FPGA connection are used here. This guarantees optimal performance between the firmware, which runs on the ARM core, and the CAN FD-ready IP core, which is processed in FPGA, says the company. Both cards are available in versions with two and four channels.
The CAN-PCIH/FD is a high performance active CAN FD interface module for PCI, Xilinx Zynq XC7Z015 with 400 MHz and 512 MiB DDR3, 16 bit. It comes with up to four CAN FD interfaces, and a 9-pin D-SUB connector on the front panel. Its operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +80 °C. Windows and Linux are supported.
The CAN-PMC/FD is also a high performance active CAN FD interface module for PMC sockets Xilinx Zynq XC7Z015 with 400 MHz and 512 MiB DDR3, 16 bit. It provides four CAN FD interfaces and a 25-pin D-SUB connector on the front panel. It comes with the same operating temperature as the card mentioned above. Its dimensions are 149 mm x 74 mm.
Janz Tec AG is again present at the Embedded World 2016 in Nuremberg. Find out more about the CAN FD boards in hall 2 at stand 411 from February 23 to 25.
