XMC mezzanine board

Features sixteen Arinc 825 channels

The XMC mezzanine board uses the M_CAN gate arrays by Bosch. The mezzanine products can be mounted on PCI and PCIe carrier boards. The CAN ports are isolated from each other. They support data-phase bit-rates up to 5 Mbit/s. The 16-channel board has an enclosure option, which allows running it in a stand-alone mode recording up to 128 GiB on a microSD (XC) card. The external memory is connected via Gigabit-Ethernet link. The physical connectors on the card include an RJ45 jack for Gigabit-Ethernet and a VHD68 connector for the channel I/O. When the interface card is installed on a carrier board, it shows up as an additional Ethernet controller using the standard PRO1000 drivers from Intel and can be used without the external RJ45 port needed.

The Arinc 825 protocol stack by Stock Flight Systems can be installed on the XMC board. This firmware has already powered the pmc825 4-channel board, which is used in the company’s CAN-Flight analyzer/generator. Optionally, the board can be equipped with the CANaerospace protocol firmware. The XMC board is suitable for the XCT toolset by Wetzel Technology. The toolset is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Solaris. There is also driver and API support for VxWorks in addition to Linux, MacOS, and Windows. There is no additional charge for XCT and a copy is provided with each compatible CANaerospace and Arinc-825 device we sell.
