Comp-Mall (Germany) has introduced the automotive data server AVL-1100. It is a rugged mobile solution for vehicle applications, especially local public transport. It communicates via a CAN network.
THE PRODUCT PROVIDES A RANGE OF I/O INTERFACES, including CAN, 2 x COM, 2 x USB, G-LAN, audio, VGA and HDMI. This allows flexibility for utility in surveillance systems, monitoring, data collection, e-ticket payment data transmission, mobile billboard advertising to provide passengers multimedia system, fleet control and management.
The fan-less model is based on the Freescale i.MX6 quad-core Cortex-A9 1,2 GHz processor with 1 GiB DDR3 RAM, 8 GiB iNAND Flash und Android 4.1.2. To storage media, the product provides a SD card. The isolated CAN network in the module makes real-time vehicle diagnostics possible with remote request via HSUPA and route planning via GPS. The system organizes, navigates, communicates and informs the driver during their work.
Because of the wireless communication via CAN, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, the driver and logistic center got permanent access to the vehicle data. The four isolated digital inputs and outputs inform the user about the status. The COM, USB and Bluetooth interfaces are “responsible” for the data exchange. The product measures 255 mm x 115 mm x 42 mm, weighs 670 g and has an operating temperature from -0 °C to +60 °C and an operating voltage from 9 VDC to 36 VDC.
