I/O module

For control cabinets

The CAN-connectable modules of Microcontrol’s (Germany) Snap series connect sensors and actuators to the network.

The modules are equipped optionally with a CAN interface. The CAN interface supports messages with an 11-bit identifier (classical base frame format) as well as messages with a 29-bit identifier (classical extended frame format). This means, the CANopen or J1939 layer-7 application layer protocols can be supported as well as proprietary Classical CAN protocols. The modules’ protection class is IP20. They can be mounted on a TS35 rail system. An optional backplane network enables connection of the I/O modules of the series to a control system. The µCAN-Snap series can be used to interconnect a variety of sensors and actuators: analog inputs (0 mA to 20 mA, 0 V to 10 V), analog outputs (0 mA to 20 mA, 0 V to 10 V), sensor inputs (Pt100 to Pt1000, thermocouples, and strain gauge), digital inputs, digital outputs, PWM outputs as well as counters and frequency measuring units.
