At the fair in Nuremberg, Microcontrol presents besides other products its μCAN.8.dio-Snap I/O module with CANopen FD support.
For more than 20 years now, Microcontrol - based in Troisdorf near Cologne/Germany - has specialized in providing CAN applications for demanding industries as e.g. mechanical and automotive industries but also renewable energy and medical technology. They provide solutions to transmit analog measurement signals to a fieldbus interface during the process. Their product range includes CANopen I/O modules, the CANopen control system μMIC.200, as well as CANopen protocol stacks with an integrated option to migrate from Classic CANopen to CANopen FD at any time.
At the SPS IPC Drives 2018 exhibition in Nuremberg, the company presents its μCAN.8.dio-Snap I/O module with CANopen FD function in hall 5, stand 406. The product can run in a Classic CAN/CANopen network as well as in a CANopen FD network as desired. Due to the FD function, the user can switch from Classic to FD at any time.
The existing infra structure can be maintained without additional investment, said the company. The existing wiring or connecting facilities do not have to be changed or replaced. The I/O module is now available. The company has scheduled delivery for quarter one in 2019.
