Two versions
Axiomatic Technologies introduced its Modbus router with CAN and Ethernet to provide connectivity. It is available in two variants. Featuring data exchange between a CAN network (SAE J1939), EIA-485, and Ethernet, this product is user configurable via a web browser.
The protocol converter comprises one isolated extended frame format CAN interface as well as one isolated EIA-485 (Modbus RTU), and one Ethernet port (Modbus TCP). The product has two models; the AX141810, working as a bidirectional Modbus (RTU+TCP/IP) to CAN and vice versa, and the AX141830 working in a CAN to Modbus (RTU+TCP/IP) direction.
The AX141810 is operational from 9 VDC to 36 VDC (12 VDC, 24 VDC nominal), with an integrated TE Deutsch 12-pin connector. It offers surge, over-voltage, and reverse polarity protection. The product provides a protection rating of IP67, allowing it to survive harsh environments during applications such as communications interface between machine and controls systems with a superordinated manager.
The company’s protocol converters, routers, and CAN gateways provide end users and OEM’s (original equipment manufacturer), a solution for integrating their legacy or regular systems. Axiomatic products support one to one conversion of TTL, EIA-232, EIA-485, two CAN networks, and Ethernet (and proprietary protocols on request).
