Bridges to CAN FD and Ethernet-AVB

The TC9560AXBG by Toshiba is an integrated circuit connecting Ethernet-AVB and for example CAN FD networks. It comes in a 10 mm x 10 mm LFBGA package.

The chipset provides an Ethernet PHY interface selectable from RGMII (Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface), RMII (Reduced Media Independent Interface), and MII (Media Independent Interface). It comprises a Cortex-M3 processor and implements two CAN FD channels based on Bosch’s IP core. The Cortex-M3 processor performs system control and management tasks. The host connectivity is provided by a PCI-express or HSIC interface. By this, the bridge chip is also usable as a general CAN FD interface for PCI-express and can be directly controlled by the connected host controller. Multiple peripherals (SPI, UART, general-purpose I/O, etc.) complete the bridge IC. It is designed for automotive applications and complies with AEC-Q100. This specification refers to the stress test qualification for ICs established by the US-based Automotive Electronics Council. Samples of the product are available.
