Rohm Semiconductor offers the BD41044FJ-C CAN FD transceiver dedicated for the automotive industry.

The transceiver conforms to the ISO 11898-2:2016 standard and is specified for data-phase rates up to 5 Mbit/s, claims the manufacturer. The component is AEC-Q100-qualified (Automotive Electronics Council) and is dedicated for operating temperatures from -40 °C to +125 °C. A split voltage output is available for stabilizing of the recessive bus level. Power-saving mode, standby mode, bus wake-up, under-voltage detection, and thermal shutdown are the further included transceiver functions. Recommended operating voltage varies from 4,75 V to 5,25 V. The chip can withstand a bus fault voltage of -27 V to +40 V. It is packaged in a SOP-J8 housing and dimensions 4,90 mm x 6,00 mm x 1,65 mm.
