The PM-311x series by ICP DAS are smart power meters that give access to real-time electric usage for single-phase power measurement. They support CiA 301 and CiA 401 and up to 128 nodes on the CANopen network.
WITH ITS ACCURACY OF <1,0 %, THE SERIES can be applied to both low voltage primary side and medium/high voltage secondary side and enables the users to obtain energy consumption readings from the monitored equipment in real-time under operation. The power meters support input current up to 200 A. They operate over an input voltages range of 10 VAC to 300 VAC, which allows worldwide compatibility. Their operating temperature is -10 °C to +70 °C.
With two channel relay outputs, they can be linked with sirens or lightings for alarm messages. The series features a CAN interface and Ethernet. It also supports CANopen, Modbus RTU, or Modbus TCP. It supports up to 128 nodes
on the CANopen network and bit-rates of 125 kbit/s, 250 kbit/s, 500 kbit/s and 1 Mbit/s.
The PM-311x-CPS provides error process mechanisms and message priority concepts. According to the company, these features can improve the network reliability and transmission efficiency. Furthermore, CAN supplies the multi-master capabilities, and is especially suitable for networking “intelligent” devices as well as sensors and actuators within a system or sub-system.
This product of the series provides a CANopen interface for users to gather real-time power consumption information in their CANopen applications. The user can employ the CANopen PDO event time feature to automatically respond to messages at regular intervals. This makes communication more efficient when collecting a lot of remote power information. In addition, the product features an arbitration mechanism, which can avoid data collision and provides error detection.
